Kevin Homel
Lead &
Harmony Vocals, GuitarKevin
starting playing guitar in bands with his brother Dan when he was a
skinny teen. He played in bands in Los Angeles in the 70's and 80's
including Duck Soup, Fountain Blue, Horizon and PT Weasel (who opened
for Van Halen at Gazzarri's in 1975). Kevin played lead & rhythm
guitar on a soul album recorded at Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood,

He has enjoyed playing in local bands
over the years including Double Dog Dare,
The Skynotes,
Revival, Time Runners,
Jimi B. & The Trix, Playin' Favorites,
and Harvest Road. He has played guitar in church for over 50 years.. Kevin met
Ed playing in a contemporary ensemble at St Margaret Mary and playing
in The Time Runners & The Skynotes. Kevin met Perry playing in local
musical theater.
Kevin also plays keyboards, lap steel and
harmonica and records original songs in his home studio. He
loves playing the wide variety of music in The Radio Waves. NICKNAME:

Mary Ann Diel
Lead &
Harmony Vocals, Keyboards
Mary Ann studied jazz piano and voice at
the University of Miami in Florida, where she developed the passion
and versatility that define her playing today. Over the years, she
has been blessed to share the stage with legendary jazz musicians
such as Clark Terry, Grover Washington Jr., Monty Alexander, and
Nathan Davis—experiences that deeply shaped her love of music.
In addition to performing, Mary Ann is an accomplished arranger who
enjoys writing for vocal groups and big bands. Her arrangements have
been recorded and performed internationally, reflecting her musical
creativity love of vocalese.
At the heart of everything she does is her faith. Mary Ann loves to
worship the Lord with the gifts He has given her and faithfully plays
and sings in church each week. She is thrilled to bring her love of
music, faith, and collaboration to the stage as a member of The
Radio Waves.

Ed Novak
Drums & Percussion
Ed took an interest to drums and percussion way
back in high school, starting only with a snare drum. Not long after
high school he joined the military and played in a rock band in Air
Force Boot Camp during Christmas time.
Since 2005 he has
played drums and percussion in the ensemble at St. Margaret Mary
Church in Lower Burrell, PA where he met Kevin & Perry. Ed played
with Kevin in The Skynotes and also with
Perry and Kevin in The Time Runners..
Ed comes from a long
history of musicians and music lovers. His brother also plays the
drums and performs in DC area clubs. His father still plays the organ
and accordion (at 98). His mother played piano for banquets and
minstrel shows back in the 50’s.
When not drumming or
working as an automation engineer, Ed studies martial arts at Cho’s
Tae Kwon Do in New Kensington and is a 1st degree Black
Belt. NICKNAME: Steady Eddie

Perry Pinto
Electric Bass, Lead &
Harmony Vocals
Perry has been playing bass since age 16
when his trombone teacher, Johnny Murphy, suggested he would find more
opportunities to play music if he learned to double on electric bass.
Since then Perry has performed in 7 countries and 20 states in various
bands.
He as been in some of the tri-state areas most popular groups. His
appreciation and enjoyment of all types of music also keeps him in
demand for a variety of freelance performances.
When not playing with The Radio Waves, Perry plays with RML Jazz,
Magic & The Hot Metal Brass, Murphy Music Center Big Band as well as
local musical theater productions. Perry also plays with Ed & Kevin at
St. Margaret Mary Church and other area churches. Perry has recently
been playing some specialty gigs
with Scott Blasey of the Clarks at the City Winery.
Perry met Kevin in the 1990's while playing in the ensemble for the
New Ken Civic Theater production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat. Perry played with Kevin and Ed in The Time Runners
